Reading Workshops Now NCC Approved!
We are proud to announce our Reading Workshops are now NCC approved.
The Approved Workshop Scheme is a joint enterprise between the NCC (National Caravan Council), The Caravan Club and The Camping and Caravanning Club. It is the benchmark for Motor Caravan and touring caravan servicing. You know it is important to look after your Motor Caravan or tourer, but when you have work done, you want to be sure that your vehicle has been serviced by trained and experienced professionals. The solution is to use an Approved Workshop.
In order to be accepted on to the Scheme, our workshop was assessed by a team of independent assessors and we had to comply with the Scheme's rigorous standards. Due to our qualified technicians and service standards we passed with ease. For customers piece of mind we will be inspected annually to ensure our high standards are maintained, so you'll know that the right things are done, by the right people and to a high standard.
At our Reading site caravan servicing has been carried out for many years and now under Webbs Motor Caravans continues.
Now as an Approved Workshop we can service caravans which are still covered by a warranty without invalidating the cover. This includes Bailey, Swift, Sterling, Abbey, Ace, Elddis, Lunar, Coachman, ect...
We will be delighted to book your Motor Caravan habitation service, or your touring caravan service in right away, so please contact Matthew and his Team on 01189 712424 to secure your booking.
Building Work at Reading Last update- 19/6
Work has started on the new showrooms and development at our Reading branch.
For those of you that remember our Reading branch as Colins Caravans as it was for over 60 years for you this is the end of an era!
The new development will offer a large state of the art Accessories shop spread over 2 floors, new open air glass walled offices, a showroom extension based on the same modern airy style as our Warminster branch housing sales offices, a customer waiting area with comfortable seating and coffee facilities, Motor Caravans on display and a service reception area.
It will be well worth the wait but, it will cause some disruption. Our shop is now closed and will remain so until possibly now the end of May when the work on the downstairs area will be complete, please keep an eye on this news article for regular updates.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused during this time.

The main building is covered in scaffolding ready for the large project ahead.
The staircase and external walls are taken down making way for the new glass walls and showrooms.
There have also been many changes inside as the shop and internal areas undergo their transformation.
The old shop counter has now been taken out and the internal walls are now coming down. 05-03-2010
The shop as it was in it's old dated format, and as you can see now slowley being broken down stage by stage.
The old service reception area where Marilyn and Kath used to sit that again is being used to increase the shop floorspace. Don't worry they are still with us and have been re-homed in the SALES Porta-Kabin until their new offices are constructed. So our service department continues as normal during the building work.
What used to be a number of un-used rooms and offices upstairs has been knocked through to create a huge open space that will be the 1st floor of our state of the art shop.

The exterior windows are being bricked up ready for the exterior cladding to be done.
The new entrance to the shop is taking shape and you will notice the new entrance ramp/steps being constructed.
11/04- Works starts next week on the largest part of the project, the new glass showroom. As you can see the exterior walls to the upstairs office's have now been replaced with glass walls that will view down into this new area.
Work continues in the downstairs and stud walls going up which will be the two new sales offices that again will be glass fronted and lead into the showroom.
The upstairs offices are not far from finished and as you can see the glass walls give a light and spacious feel. Office doors, new windows and lights have all now been fitted.
At the rear of the building you will see the walk way between the main building and the workshop which was once the parts department is being knocked down ready for work to start on the new showroom.

04/05- The steel has arrived that will form part of the new glass showroom and now in place gives some idea to the size of this part of the project.

The new shop entrance is now near compleation and so is the upstairs part of the shop where offices get ther final touches and new shop racking is now being put in.
As you will agree, the cladding is almost finished and transforms the look of the buildings and now starts to take it's modern image.
The main showroom now has it's floor layed, next step is the the tiles will be layed and the glass goes in next week 19/6. The steps up to the new showroom are now work in progress and start to show what things will look like.
Phase one of the shop has now re-opened but is not yet finished.
keep an eye on this page as I will keep it up-dated every step of the way as we build up to the grand opening.
Phase 1 of the new shop (the downstairs) HAS re-opened.
Now the next stage is the large new showrooms and they are expected to be complete by the end of July.
Thanks for looking and again I apologise for any inconvenience caused during this time but it will be worth it in the end.
